Márcio Moreira

Márcio Júlio Vicente Moreira is a marine organisms pathologist, specialized in fish parasitology and host-pathogen interactions. During my work as a research fellow in different fields in aquaculture, I also gained a wide range of research interests and skills in microbiology, welfare, fish immunology, fish haematology, stress and metabolism in fish, and Integrated Multitrophic Aquaculture (IMTA). This allowed me to have a very integrated view of the health issues that affect the aquaculture industry. And after 14 years in the academic research area and moved by the producers needs for new solutions for their problems, I decided to embark in a new adventure, found Bio1OneHealth, and make my expertise and integrated approaches to health issues available for the industry.
