Joana Xavier holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences and brings over 17 years
of experience in disease genetics, including more than a decade in
cancer genomics and transcriptomics research. As co-founder and CTO of
expressTEC, she leads scientific strategy and R&D, driving the
development of innovative RNA-based companion diagnostics for oncology.
Joana is co-inventor on several patents and combines deep technical
expertise with a strong focus on translating research into clinically
impactful and commercially viable solutions.
